Original air dates January and February of 1967. Two episodes appear to exist, with two reconstructed.
The three young people go off exploring while the Doctor has a nap.
Ben and Jaimie poke around while Polly is kidnapped right away. Off to a great start! Ben and Jamie are captured too. Here’s the Doctor being added to the captured. Turns out they’re in an elevator, going down. They pass out due to compressed nitrogen in the air.
They deduce the year as about 1970 – any time after 1968. Guards appear and point them along with spears. Why is no one ever happy to see them?
They’re expected as to be part of the festival of the Vernal Equinox. With a distinctly threatening part laid out for them.
A note signed “Dr. W.” like he actually uses “Doctor Who” instead of just being the Doctor. Otherwise its very cryptic.
He had no secret, but has talked his way into survival. Polly, at least, is going to be given plastic gills and sent to work underwater. Ben and Jaimie are going to the mines – no word if they get fishified first or not. Nope, that’s used as a threat against them.
So, if Professor crazy pants manages to drain the ocean (!!) what happens to the poor fish-people? They need an uprising for their own survivial!
“I have a plan. It might even work.” Follows a plan full of danger and risk.
This is the second nuclear reactor they’ve randomly messed with in the show. Dumb luck they haven’t caused worse problems.
The reactor blows and water starts to flood in, filling lower levels of Atlantis. Everyone flees generally upwards.
Nobody mentions what happened to the fish people. Poor fish people.
