Original air dates November through December 1966. More lost episodes reconstructed with slide shows. Hello Patrick Troughton. A voice I’m unfamiliar with, having never seen an episode with the second doctor.
Ben and Polly have a hard time with this, and are unsure as to who this new person is. He’s very much the Doctor, but also very much different. The Doctor hasn’t explained anything to them or given them half a clue yet.
There’s a man, an assassin, and mystery which the Doctor misses, wile Ben and Polly get in trouble.
They’re rescued by men in suits who reveal themselves to be from Vulcan. The Doctor is playing possum, and Polly’s still out from fumes.
There’s a discussion, as there’s some problems with the Vulcan colony, and one of the scientists is not helping.
Thigs happen. People walk around and talk to each other. I lose track of what’s going on.
Yay, dead Daleks, including one out of its box. Whoops, that one’s not as dead as the others, and it scuttles off under a dark thing like a cockroach. The Doctor informs Ben and Polly that one Dalek is enough to destoy this colony.
They’ve given power to one of the Daleks, and debate what the different “attachments” do to it. They’re fiddling with it without opening it, for some reason; I thought they’d be able to open it right up if the Dalek were dead or gone.
Enough power and the Dalek shoots someone, but they don’t stop. They remove the gun and keep going, because they’re fools.
Sneaky Daleks are acting as servants to get tools and power. Nobody listens to the Doctor, who rants about greed and ambition.
Doctor is right, of course. The scientist finds Daleks duplicating themselves and freaks out. Nobody believes him, and he’s wound up in hospital as a madman, as the others protect the Daleks because they want them to fight the Governor for them.
The Governor is back, and getting a clue, although it may be too late. Yes, he’s screwed. Oh, and dead, how nice.
Three Daleks have become a whole mess of Daleks. Where did they get the brains? Cloning?
The replacment governor is a rat bastard and planning on killing all the rebels. Ignoring the Dalek threat, which he may be blissfully unaware of.
Rampage in the corridors. Guards killilg rebels, Daleks killing everyone. This episode has turned into quite the bloodbath.
This entire complex has ramps everywhere. Accessibility leads to Dalek conquering. Haven’t seen a single wheelchair either.
Eew, Daleks screaming in pain. Power once again used to stop the Daleks.
And in the end, the Doctor may not have actually known what he was doing and been faking it all along. And off they go in the TARDIS!
